We welcome the chance to engage with businesses of all sizes providing nonferrous casting. We’ve built our reputation as a leading, northeast based nonferrous alloy casting foundry specializing in castings for a wide assortment of industries, including transportation, construction, infrastructure, utilities, outdoor sports and recreation, agriculture, automotive/racing, explosion/fireproof equipment, food, and hydraulics. We offer a full range of prototyping, sand mold casting, and permanent mold casting.
We continually explore the possibilities of what alloy castings can achieve. As a result, our customer base grows as our list of capabilities and foundries grows.
Ermak guarantees consistent, repeatable, and cost-effective nonferrous castings. We also offer many value-added services, including pattern design/production, heat treating, annealing, machining, powder coating, painting, anodizing, and assembly.
What sets us apart from the competition is our unwavering commitment to the needs of our customers. When you work with Ermak, you’ll have access to a wealth of helpful industry knowledge and resources. Ermak is known for its quick processing times and thorough communication. We expect and encourage questions during the prototyping, manufacturing, and quality control phases of the casting process.
An alloy is a mixture of two or more elements with at least one metal that lends its properties to the total compound. An alloy occurs when the properties that happen with the addition cause a change in a property that is beneficial. Aluminum casting alloys are the most versatile of all common foundry alloys and generally have the highest castability ratings. As casting materials, aluminum alloys have many favorable characteristics:
- Excellent fluidity for filling narrow sections,
- Low melting point in comparison to many other metals,
- Rapid heat transfer from molten aluminum to mold allowing for quicker casting cycles,
- The only gas with substantial solubility in aluminum and its alloys is hydrogen which the correct processing methods may adjust,
- Surface quality is good as-cast, with lustrous surfaces and few or no imperfections.
